Day 1: Welcome to Porto and the Douro Wine Region

A tour guide will be waiting for you at Francisco Sá Carneiro International Airport to give you a warm welcome, and will escort you to your hotel in the Douro Wine Region.

Day 2: Douro Wine Region

After breakfast you head to Pinhão travelling along one of the most enchanting routes in Portugal, alongside the river Douro's left bank. In the small town of Pinhão you may visit the old railway station, now a museum. After this you will visit the current railway station, adjacent to the old one, well known for its 24 tile panels portraying the Douro Valley's landscapes. The Private Tour takes you to wine producing estates so that you can learn about the former and current process of production. Day 3: Upper Douro Region

After breakfast you head for the village of S. Joao da Pesqueira, considered the "heart of the Douro Wine Region" and which boasts the most stunning viewpoint of the entire Douro region, named 'Saviour of the World'. In Foz Côa you may visit the Quinta de Ervamoira, an estate situated within the Archaeological Park of Foz Côa, a World Heritage Site. On this Private Tour you will visit the estates’ private museum, displaying archaeological findings that allow you to learn more about the history of the estate and its wines. The stone engravings of Foz Côa, are one of the oldest sources of human activity in the world . Return trip to Régua with accommodation in a selected hotel in the Douro wine Region.

Day 4: Port Wineries & Douro Valley

This day you will visit Port and Douro Wine producing estates, distinguished with the "Best of Wine Tourism" prize followed by a 2 hours boat cruise on the river Douro departing from Pinhão. Return trip to Porto and accommodation in a selected hotel in Porto.

Day 5: Porto, World Heritage

After breakfast in the hotel, you will have a private guided tour through the streets of Porto. The Private Tour begins in front of the City Hall, and from there you go on to visit the city’s most emblematic monuments, ending at the Port wine cellars, with a nice treat… A toast… with the famous Port wine! You will witness the magnificence of the great architectural symbols of the “Unvanquished” city, sites such as the Cathedral, the Palácio da Bolsa, Lello bookshop and the Church of St. Francisco, top exponent of Baroque art. In the afternoon, you will enjoy a cruise on the Douro River giving you a totally different perspective of the city’s beauty. The cruise is followed by visits to the Serralves Museum, the House of Music and the city's beaches. Return to a selected hotel in Porto.

Day 6: End of the tour

Private transfer from the hotel to Porto International Airport.
