Observation of the wales and/or dolphins in their natural habitat - 3h
On this trip you will have the opportunity to spot more than 20 cetacean species that can be found in the Azores. Before the boat trip we give a short briefing to explain the cetacean species that can be observed, safety measures on board, procedures of protection of species at sea and some historical facts. On board each passenger is required to wear a life vest (except on the catamaran boat). Meeting Point at Activity Center (Marina Pêro de Teive – Loja A).
Sunset Trip - 2h
Boat trip towards Ginetes with great views over rock and lava formations along the coast. The tour enables views over the cliff of Rocha da Relva, with summer houses accessible only by foot. You will be able to watch the beautiful sunset from the sea while drinking a nice Pico wine and tasting regional cheese.
Full Day Boat Trip around the island - 7h
Spending the day aboard our catamaran boat is one of the most fantastic experiences you can enjoy in San Miguel. The trip is along the coast, so you have the opportunity to enjoy the beautiful scenery of the island that you cannot see from the island itself. Learn about the flora, fauna and geological and volcanic formations of the island from a totally different perspective. We stop on a port for lunch at a local restaurant. We also have time to swim in the crystal blue sea of the Azores.

Pick up at the hotel and a walking tour in the afternoon to following places: Praia da Viola (PR 27 SMI) + Chá Porto Formoso (PRC 26 SMI) - Extension: 5Km + 5 Km | Duration: 2H00 + 2H00 | Difficulty level: Low / Medium
Jeep Safari – 8h
This tour takes you around the top of the Caldeira of Sete Cidades where you will have an awesome view over the green and blue lakes. Santiago Lake and Ponta do Escalvado are also included. Stop in Ferraria with bathing possibility in a natural swimming pool heated by a thermal water spring.
Geo Tour – 7h
Pick up at the hotel and day trip to Nordeste or Mosteiros with focus on the observation of the volcanic manifestations as well as rock and lava formations along the island. Includes lunch and visit to Gruta do Carvão. Trip accompanied by a geologist or a certificated specialist.
Bird Watching – 7h
Due to the location of the Azorean archipelago, more than 300 American and European birds can be found here. More than 33 species of birds nest can be found in São Miguel, many endemic subspecies. But one of them, the Azorean Bullfinch, is an endemic specimen and can therefore not be found anywhere else in the world. To get the most out of your visit we recommend that you join us on a 4 Day Tour which will take you through the different ecotypes of São Miguel. The 4 Day program includes full day activities and picnic lunches. It is also possible to do a Single Day program. Included in this program is a visit to the centre of Priôlo in the North East with a picnic lunch.
