Departure: 09h00 a.m. We will pick you up at your Hotel. Our Full-Day Tour will start in the charming village of Sintra, considered a World Heritage site by UNESCO. Pena Palace will be our first stop. Built in the XIX century on a rock at 500m altitude, this palace is a magnificent example of Portuguese Romanesque architecture. Then we will go down to the historic center, having free time to appreciate the medieval streets of Sintra, to enjoy the landscapes of Sintra mountain and to taste the delicious local sweets. Time for lunch (optional).
In the early afternoon, we will visit the National Palace of Sintra. Located right in the heart of this town, it is one of the most attractive monuments of this region. Then we will go to the most westerly point of continental Europe, Roca Cape (due to weather conditions, from October 31st to March 1st, this visit will be replaced to “Boca do Inferno”, an outstanding cliff). We will proceed our journey to the bay of Cascais, our last stop. This place was the former summer residence of Portuguese royal family, where there is a particularly magnificent view over its stunning beaches. And before making the return to Lisbon, we will end our Tour with a panoramic view over Estoril, famous for its casino and stunning gardens around it. Drop-off at your Hotel (around 06h00 p.m.).
