Itinerary
  • Day 1

    Lisbon / Évora

A day discovering the city of Évora, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, a mosaic of culture, history and traditions.

We set off from Lisbon, crossing the bridge over the Tagus river. Through a bucolic landscape of cork oaks, olive trees and vineyards, we'll see the walls and white houses of the city of Évora. We'll walk through the narrow streets of this city to travel back in time, visiting some of the main monuments: the Roman temple of Évora, the Romanesque-Gothic Cathedral, the Church of São Francisco with the Chapel of Bones and the University.

The visit will also allow us to enjoy all the variety of handicrafts on offer in the Alentejo region, including the famous cork, ceramic and copper objects. You will also have the opportunity to see and feel the richness and diversity of the products used to prepare one of Portugal's tastiest dishes. Time for lunch.

In the afternoon, you'll have free time to explore the city. We suggest a gourmet wine, olive oil and cheese tasting. Accommodation in Évora.

  • Day 2

    Evora / Beja / Silves / Lagos

After some leisure time in Evora, we will drive southward. Beja will be our first stop. Founded by the Romans, Beja is a thriving historical hub, set on the highest point of the surrounding Alentejo plains. Here, the highest tower of the Portuguese Medieval castles dominates.  After this visit, we will cross small mountains and we will reach the Algarve Region, the beautiful southern coastline of Portugal with a year-round balmy climate.

By fields of orange trees, we will arrive to Silves, located in the rolling hills of the Northern Algarve. It is an unhurried and charming town, dominated by its red sandstone castle dating back to Moorish times and its stunning gothic Cathedral. We will proceed to the golden sands of the Algarve, passing by Praia da Rocha (Portimão) to Lagos. Accommodation in Lagos.

  • Day 3

Lagos / Ponta da Piedade / Sagres / St. Vincent Cape / Lagos

Our Algarve tour will continue through some of the most impressive viewpoints in Portugal. Ponta da Piedade will be the first break. It is a spectacular natural monument overlooking the Atlantic Ocean, a maze of unique formations with heavily weathered cliffs that have been carved into rock pillars of misshapen angles, natural tunnels and hidden grottos.

Then, we will proceed to Sagres, a charming fishing port, where we will visit the fortress formerly known as the mythical “navigation school”.  We will continue along the cliffs to Saint Vincent Cape, the most westerly point of mainland Europe, where the cruel waves of the Atlantic Ocean pound the massive precipices. And after this amazing journey, we will return to Lagos and we will stroll through this cosmopolitan town. Here, the marina and the fishing port are famous landmarks, as well as the delicious and fresh dishes. In the afternoon, take your time to explore the city or its beaches by yourself. Accommodation in Lagos.

  • Day 4

Lagos / Setubal / Arrabida Mountain / Lisbon

On the 4th day of our tour, we will have time for a last look at the crystal-clear waters of the Atlantic Ocean while traveling along the coast. The return trip to Lisbon will take us by the city of Setubal, considered the heart of the Portuguese sardine industry. Then, we will reach the Arrabida Mountain, an important area preserved as Natural Park, with an amazing scenery and unique vegetation at the gates of Lisbon. We will also enjoy a stunning view over the Troia Peninsula. In the end of our amazing trip, we will cross the April 25th Bridge with an impressive view over Lisbon. Drop-off and end of our services (around 06h00 p.m.).
