We will depart from the city of Porto in the morning, and your tourism driver will pick you up at the hotel where you are staying.
We will head towards the emblematic Sanctuary of Fátima, the largest place of worship in Portugal and one of the most important pilgrimage destinations in the world, where you can experience the inspiring devotion of pilgrims from all over the globe. In this iconic and mysterious town, we will visit the Chapel of the Apparitions, the Church of the Most Holy Trinity, and the Basilica, where the tombs of the Three Little Shepherds are located. We will then continue to Aljustrel, where we will visit the houses where the Three Little Shepherds: Lúcia, Francisco, and Jacinta, were born.
Later, you will have time to enjoy lunch (not included) before continuing the visit to Coimbra, famous for its 13th-century university, a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
In the afternoon, we will continue our journey with a visit to the historic city of Coimbra, the former capital of Portugal and known as the “City of Students”.
After a panoramic drive through the main points of interest, we will admire the University of Coimbra, one of the oldest in Europe and a UNESCO World Heritage Site. From the university campus, you will enjoy an incredible panoramic view of this charming city and the Mondego River.
