Amazing Serra da Estrela

Arrival at Porto Airport and transfer to the Hotel.

Our driver will pick you at your Hotel to take you to visit Foz D'Egua, the river beach located in Piódão, well known for its Schist Village. After admiring this amazing landscape,  we are taking you to have lunch at a local restaurant.

Afterwards, we are going to take you on a visit to Piódão village center to show you the traditional schist houses, and the white and Blue Church, that stands out in the middle of the village.

We will hit the road next, to take you to Loriga, the glacial valley with marvellous landscapes all year round. Here, you will taste the traditional corn bread called "Broa" and the "Bolo Negro de Loriga", Loriga's black cake. In Loriga, we will also take you to its river beach with blue and clear waters, almost tropical if it wasn't for the water temperature.

Later, we'll drop you off at the hotel for some deserved rest.

We start our day with a visit to Belmonte, a place with a lot of Roman remains. Place of birth of Pedro Álvares Cabral, portuguese navigator and explorer. Its Castle shows the magnificence of older times and it is a great place to spend some time admiring the ancient history. The Centum Cellas is also a mandatory visit on our journey - this tower is shrouded in mystery. With some tales around it, it is believed to be part of the military structure. There's no actual proof of the true purpose of this tower.

Then we are off to the regional lunch. 

After the delicious lunch, we are going to take you on a visit to the Quinta of Termos, to discover more about their wines and to taste some samples.

Afterwards, we're dropping you off at your Hotel.

We will pick you up on the Hotel by SUV. We will hit the road, to do the "Penhas da Saúde", "Poios Brancos" and "Poço do Inferno" (Hell's Pit) off-road trails, to show you the beauty of the region.

We will do a quick stop in the Coração da Boa Estrela viewpoint. Here we can find, not only one of the greatest views to Serra da Estrela, but also the statue of Senhora da Boa Estrela (Lady of Good Star), with 7 meters, sculpted on the rock.

After this stop, we are heading to one of the prettiest waterfalls in Serra da Estrela: Poço do Inferno, near Manteigas. The sound of the water falling 10 meters down is like a therapeutic sound that will relax you. Next, we are off to a visit to the Trout Farm, also in Manteigas. This farm takes advantage of the crystal-clear waters that burst from the mountain.

We'll do a break to have lunch at a local restaurant.

After lunch, we will visit the Burel Factory, a company that produces high quality ecological wool fabrics, with the old traditional equipment.

To add some adventure to your afternoon, we have prepared another off-road trail starting in Manteigas, heading to Zêzere Glacial Valley, ending in Covão D'Ametade. Here we will stop and embrace the serenity of the source of the river.

The landscapes along the trail will give you amazing and peaceful memories.

Return to the Hotel to rest and have dinner.

Departure to the Serra da Estrela Ski Resort, where we are giving you the opportunity to learn how to Ski in a private class.

After the workout we provided for you, it is time to have lunch at the restaurant Margarida I.

Transfer to Porto. Check-in and accommodation.

After a delicious breakfast and your check-out, our driver will transfer you to Porto Airport. End of our services.
